Our midsize, boutique CPA firm in Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland is seeking a Tax Senior to join our team in a hybrid capacity. In this role, you will lead the preparation of a broad range of tax returns and collaborate directly with clients and firm managers. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career progression, providing a balance of independent remote work and collaborative in-office days.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
- Assist in identifying tax planning opportunities and drafting strategic recommendations for clients.
- Provide guidance and initial review for work performed by staff accountants.
- Conduct technical research to resolve routine and complex tax questions.
- Maintain strong client relationships by responding to inquiries and delivering timely service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA license or progression toward obtaining a CPA or Enrolled Agent designation.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
