Production Compounder- 1st and 2nd Shift
Job Description
Location: Manitowoc (On-site)
1st Shift- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour (may be higher based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour + $1.25/hour shift premium = $23.25/hour total (may be higher based on experience)
A well-established manufacturing facility in the Manitowoc area is hiring an Entry-Level Compounder to help produce high-quality chemical intermediate and bulk products using plant process equipment—safely, accurately, and efficiently. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assist with sanitizing and preparing equipment for production
- Blend batches (with assistance as needed) and follow manufacturing procedures
- Identify and stage correct raw materials for each batch
- Use a computer for data entry (batch info, downtime tracking, tank status)
- Use a scanner to track raw material consumption and maintain inventory accuracy
- Perform aseptic sampling of raw materials, intermediates, and bulk product
- Read and understand SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Communicate issues promptly to the Compounding Leads
- Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements when handling chemicals
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (REQUIRED)
- High school diploma / HSED or equivalent experience
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English at a high school level
- Comfortable working in an environment requiring PPE and strong safety practices
PREFERRED
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Ability to become forklift certified (required to pass certification after hire)
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (SUMMARY)
This role involves working around process equipment and chemicals and requires strict safety compliance. PPE may include respirators/dust masks, gloves, face shields, aprons, goggles, and steel-toed boots.
Physical work may include lifting/moving materials (including bags up to 100 lbs to waist height), handling hoses, and frequent standing, reaching, bending, and climbing as needed.
