Role Overview

We are seeking an Associate Professional (AP) to provide direct care and support to residents in our Residential Treatment Staff Secure for Children or Adolescents. The AP will assist with skill-building, daily living activities, documentation, and community integration while working under the supervision of a Qualified Professional (QP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily supervision and support to residents.
  • Assist residents with independent living skills, socialization, and community activities.
  • Implement strategies outlined in the Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
  • Monitor, document, and report resident progress and needs.
  • Support residents in attending appointments, activities, and community outings.
  • Assist with medication administration and crisis intervention as trained.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment in the group home.
  • Work collaboratively with the QP, LP, and other team members.
Qualifications
  • Must meet NC DHHS criteria for Associate Professional in MH/IDD/SA
  • Bachelor's degree in human services field OR
  • Bachelor's degree in another field with at least 1 year of full-time MH/IDD/SA experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to document services accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Valid NC driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must pass background check, drug screen, and complete required trainings (CPR/First Aid NCI, Medication Administration, CPI, etc.).
