Job Opportunity: Geriatric or Neuropsychiatrist

Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained and board-certified Geriatric or Neuropsychiatrist to become part of a tertiary academic practice that caters to both rural and urban communities. Ideal candidates will be exceptional clinician-educators dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults and their families, and eager to collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals. We also welcome applicants with a demonstrated interest and expertise in managing complex psychiatric conditions in seniors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for older adult patients facing a variety of psychiatric illnesses.
  • Collaborate closely with primary care and specialty care providers.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring Psychiatry residents, Geriatric Medicine fellows, medical students from Tufts University School of Medicine, and interns in Social Work and Psychology.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.
  • Apply for a faculty appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Clinical Environment

The Senior Psychiatry Division specializes in the assessment and treatment of older adults with a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions. Our clinical team comprises psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical social workers, and we are supported by facilities such as Spring Harbor Hospital and the MaineHealth Behavioral Health network. Our organization also features a dedicated 21-bed inpatient program for geriatric/neuropsychiatry, as well as a 63-bed Emergency Department that includes a 6-bed Acute Psychiatry Unit.
