Overview of the Gynecologist Position:

In your role as a Gynecologist at the Sacramento VA, you will offer comprehensive gynecological services to women veterans in both outpatient and inpatient environments. Your responsibilities will encompass preventive care, diagnosis, and management of a wide array of gynecological issues and procedures. You will work closely with primary care and specialty teams to ensure coordinated, patient-focused care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient gynecological consultations, assessments, and follow-up care.

  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including office-based gynecological interventions and minor surgeries.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care, surgical specialties, and mental health professionals.

  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, committees, and projects to enhance the Women's Health Program.

  • Guide and educate trainees and staff as needed.

  • Keep accurate and current medical records in line with VA regulations.

  • Contribute to the development of protocols and standards for gynecological services.
