We are thrilled to collaborate with a leading healthcare organization to find a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for its Behavioral Health Hospital located in Northeast Pennsylvania. This pivotal leadership position will have a profound influence across Luzerne and Lackawanna/Wyoming Counties.

Position Overview

The Chief Medical Officer will deliver both clinical and strategic guidance for the psychiatric service line, managing a diverse team of physician providers and advanced practice clinicians. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting the psychiatry team, enhancing care models, and maintaining service excellence throughout the region.

Facility & Program Highlights

• 92-bed behavioral health facility
• Average Daily Census: 80-84 patients
• Comprehensive services, including intensive outpatient programs
• Oversight of medical staff: 7 physician providers along with a team of APPs
• Psychiatry residency program:
  • 3 residents per year, with plans to expand to 5 residents annually

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO with a completed residency in Psychiatry
• Active Board Certification
• Eligibility for or ability to secure a Pennsylvania medical license and DEA
• At least 7 years of clinical experience post-residency/fellowship
• Previous leadership experience in an outpatient or health system environment
• Willingness to engage in clinical practice as part of the role
