We are currently looking for full-time BC/BE Urologists to enhance our practice in Elkhart, Indiana. This role presents an excellent chance to play a vital part in the substantial growth we are witnessing across various medical fields.
Urologist Position Overview
Elkhart General Hospital, a 254-bed Level III Trauma Center located in Elkhart, Indiana, is on the lookout for full-time Urologists to join our vibrant and cooperative team.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about establishing a new surgical urology service line for Elkhart and aiding in the recruitment of additional physicians.
This practice includes in-office diagnostic procedures such as Cystoscopy and Transrectal Ultrasounds, which are standard offerings.
Qualifications:
- Both experienced physicians and recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Fellowship training is preferred but not mandatory
- Candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork skills
Work Schedule:
- On-call every third weekend and every third day
- Currently, you will spend three full days in the clinic seeing patients and 1 to 1.5 days in scheduled surgeries
- You will handle surgeries that are scheduled before and after clinic days on your call day
Leadership Opportunities:
- Collaboration with the Indiana University School of Medicine at Notre Dame and Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency provides opportunities for teaching residents, medical students, and supervising post-graduate trainees.
About Our Practice
You will be joining a growing multi-specialty group practice within our organization. Our Elkhart team consists of three full-time Urologists and two Nurse Practitioners.
We focus on general urology through a collaborative approach, emphasizing community-based care.
This role offers the chance to contribute to the growth of our practice while introducing new technological advancements to our team.
