Job Description
EXCITING OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Otolaryngologist to become part of our established, hospital-affiliated General ENT outpatient practice.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- Option #1: A base salary of $510,000, which aligns with the 50th percentile of MGMA for recent graduates, with additional compensation based on experience, guaranteed for two years. This can transition to a wRVU production contract once targets are surpassed.
- Option #2: A base salary of $632,475, reflecting the 75th percentile of MGMA, guaranteed for the first year, after which it will convert to a wRVU production contract.
* For those who are not yet board certified, the salary will be adjusted to 5% less, with an increase upon certification.
THE TWO-YEAR CONTRACT INCLUDES:
- Vacation: 29 days of paid time off (PTO), plus an additional 5 days of PTO upon achieving 75th percentile wRVUs.
- CME/Books & Journals: 5 days of PTO and funding up to $5,000.
- Deferred Compensation: Participation in a 457b plan, allowing deferral of up to $22,500 annually before taxes, with no matching contributions.
- Retirement/Savings Plan: A 403b plan enabling deferral of up to $22,500 annually before taxes for those under 50, and $30,000 for those over 50, with a dollar-for-dollar match up to 2% of base salary.
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 provided for moving expenses.
- Malpractice Insurance: Coverage under a claims-made policy with limits of $2,000,000 per claim and $6,000,000 aggregate.
- Health Insurance: A small premium deducted from the paycheck, paid by the physician.
- Liquidated Damages: A non-compete clause of 70 miles for two years, or liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s salary.
- CERP (Pay for Call) Program: Details provided by the VP of Finance.
- Bonus Opportunities: Attractive bonus incentives of up to 10% of salary.
- Medical School Loan Repayment: Up to $200,000 available for repayment ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment).
- Residency Stipend: Up to $25,000, contingent on a two-year service commitment.
- Sign-On Bonus: 15% of base salary, capped at $100,000, payable upon contract signing and forgiven over 2-4 years.
PRACTICE DETAILS:
- Location: Our ENT Associates practice is situated at the Fulton Building, Suite 202, Portsmouth, OH 45662.
- Office Hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Call Schedule: A rotation of two weeks on and two weeks off, with the opportunity to earn extra compensation through the CERP (Pay for Call) Program.
- Staffing: The team includes Dr. George Shahade, Amy Kilburn (CNP), an Audiologist, two LPNs, and two Office Assistants, along with a Surgery Scheduler.
- Patient Load: Initially expected to see 20-25 patients daily, with the potential to increase this number if desired.
- Office Procedures: Anticipated to perform 6-8 procedures daily, including Nasal Endoscopy, Laryngoscopy, and Tube Insertion, utilizing scopes, aspirators, and vestibular testing equipment.
- Hospital Procedures: Varies based on OR block time, including Nasal Endoscopy with Cautery, Adenoidectomy, Septoplasty, Micro-Laryngoscopy with Biopsy, Tonsillectomy, and Tube Insertion, using advanced equipment such as the Medtronic Navigation System and Microscope.
- PRACTICE EXPECTATIONS: We are looking for a dedicated, personable team player who prioritizes patient-centered care and collaborates effectively with colleagues and staff.
