Opportunity Overview

Qualifications
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology

  • Completion of a fellowship in Headache Medicine is essential

  • Possession of a valid Michigan State License

  • Proficient in managing intricate headache conditions, including chronic migraines, cluster headaches, and medication overuse headaches

  • Skilled in headache-related procedures such as botulinum toxin injections and nerve blocks

  • Excellent communication abilities and patient education skills

Key Responsibilities

Your daily activities may involve:

  • Assessing and treating patients with both primary and secondary headache disorders

  • Conducting procedures like Botox injections for chronic migraines and peripheral nerve blocks

  • Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, including pain management, behavioral health, and primary care professionals

  • Creating personalized treatment plans that incorporate both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic methods

  • Providing education to patients regarding lifestyle changes, adherence to treatment, and strategies for managing migraines

  • Engaging in team-based care initiatives and quality improvement efforts
