This prestigious medical center provides the most extensive heart care in Wisconsin, featuring a top-rated cardiac surgery program, award-winning interventional and heart failure services, the state’s first and most successful heart transplant program (including multi-organ transplants), and durable mechanical circulatory support programs. Additionally, we offer the largest remote hemodynamic monitoring program in the state, the only accredited pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, and cardio-oncology programs, an advanced electrophysiology interventional program, and a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab available 24/7 for advanced percutaneous interventions for our cardiogenic shock team, along with the largest structural heart program in Wisconsin.
Highlights
Full-time opportunity in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
Collaborate with 7 Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiologists and 4 skilled Cardiac Surgeons
Outreach clinic approximately one day per week
Expertise in Cath lab procedures, including invasive hemodynamic assessments, myocardial biopsies, diagnostic coronary angiograms (optional), urgent temporary MCS devices (optional), and PA pressure sensor implants (optional)
On-call duties exclusively for the AHFT team
Encouragement to engage in the medical education of general cardiology & AHFT fellows, internal medicine residents, medical students, and regional cardiovascular conferences hosted by our organization
Involvement in ongoing advanced heart failure, transplant, MCS, and PAH research
Utilization of EPIC EMR
Be part of a nationally recognized integrated organization with a physician-led medical group and embedded service line
Access to DAX Copilot, an AI-driven clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, enhancing clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
Experience a workplace that prioritizes safe and equitable care for all patients
Salary: $559,301 plus an annual incentive bonus of up to $50K
Sign-on bonus of $50K
Training and/or Experience Required
Board Eligible or Board Certified in cardiovascular disease
Board Eligible or Board Certified in advanced heart failure and transplant
Successful completion of a fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant
