PM&R Physician

Our organization is seeking a PM&R physician who is interested in a combined inpatient and outpatient role, primarily concentrating on neurological rehabilitation, with the option to engage in musculoskeletal care within the outpatient setting.

The Practice Overview:

• We are part of a comprehensive multispecialty clinic operating within the Neuroscience Center, collaborating with departments such as Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Pain Medicine.
• The PM&R Department encompasses Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neuropsychology, and Chiropractic services.

Current PM&R Team:

• 4 Musculoskeletal PM&R Physicians
• 3 Neurorehabilitation PM&R Physicians (actively seeking to add a 4th)
• 1 Pediatric PM&R Physician

Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs):

• 4 Inpatient PM&R APCs
• 3 Outpatient/MSK PM&R APCs
• 5 Neuropsychologists
• 3 Chiropractors

• Inpatient Practice: Features a newly renovated 20-bed unit within the hospital, managed by the 4 Neurorehabilitation physicians and 4 APCs.
• Call responsibilities are handled by APCs, covering nights, weekends, and holidays, shared among the providers.
• Strong hospitalist support is available for patients with complex medical needs.
• Outpatient Practice: Emphasizes neurological rehabilitation, including care for CVA, SCI, TBI, MS, concussion, and spasticity management, which includes Botox and intrathecal baclofen pump management. Musculoskeletal care is a lesser focus but is still an option. There is potential for EMG procedures.

Common Procedures Include:

• EMG
• Botox injections
• Trigger Point Injections and nerve blocks
