Situated just 75 picturesque minutes from the capital, the Martinsburg, WV VA Medical Center is on the lookout for a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist to become part of the General Surgery/ENT Section within our Surgical Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will assess, diagnose, admit, treat, and manage patients with conditions affecting:

  • The ear, nose, throat, head, and neck

  • The facial skeleton, upper respiratory tract, and upper digestive system

Your Role Includes:

  • Operative & Non-Operative Care: Aligned with approved clinical privileges and the capabilities of a Level 1C facility.

  • Consultations: Conduct inpatient and outpatient consultations, along with follow-up care for patients referred by other clinical departments and associated outpatient clinics.

  • Emergency Coverage: Provide emergency and on-call otolaryngology services as assigned (in accordance with granted privileges).

  • Diagnostics: Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests; implement treatment plans that adhere to VHA standards.

  • Teaching: Mentor and educate medical students, interns, residents, technicians, and fellow physicians.

  • Team Collaboration: Engage in surgical staff meetings, interdisciplinary care coordination, and ensure continuity of care across services.

  • Compliance: Keep current with licensure, board certification, credentialing, privileging, and complete all mandatory education/training.

WORK SCHEDULE (Yes, it’s true):
Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO) from an accredited institution.

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Otolaryngology residency.

  • Board Certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology.

  • Possession of an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
