Job Description
• A collaborative team of six Emergency Department (ED) physicians is eager to welcome a new Medical Director to enhance their group.
• This role is situated at a highly regarded community hospital located just an hour north of Minneapolis.
• The facility operates as a Level IV Trauma Center, handling approximately 15,000 ED visits annually.
• You will have the opportunity to work alongside several skilled Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) during daytime shifts.
• The department is known for its efficiency, ensuring that patients experience minimal wait times for beds or transfers.
• Enjoy a remarkably flexible schedule with the option to work six 12-hour ED shifts per month (or more if desired) and an average of around 16 hours of administrative duties monthly, much of which can be completed remotely.
• Note that an EMS Medical Directorship is not a requirement for the ED Medical Director position.
• The organization utilizes Epic EMR for patient management.
• Compensation is highly competitive, averaging $246 per hour for ED shifts, with differential pay reaching up to $348 per hour, in addition to a medical director stipend.
• A substantial signing and retention bonus, along with loan support, is available, ensuring a six-figure package.
• Generous paid time off (PTO) allows for the accrual of up to 240 hours annually.
