Our organization is in search of an innovative leader to take on the role of Chief of Plastic Surgery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in academic medicine, complemented by significant administrative experience as a division chief or program director. Strong leadership qualities are essential, including the ability to listen, make informed decisions, advocate effectively for the Division, and support its faculty. A distinguished background as both a surgeon and academician is crucial, as the Chief will also be expected to maintain an active clinical practice.
About the Division of Plastic Surgery- Comprises 5 faculty members and 5 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) specializing in all areas of plastic surgery.
- Offers a 6-year Integrated Plastic Surgery residency program with a strong track record of residents securing positions at their preferred institutions.
- Serves a network of 6 hospitals, including the newly renovated regional tertiary referral center, which is expanding its reach across Kentucky and neighboring states.
- Features outstanding facilities, exceptional patient outcomes, and a diverse range of complex patient cases.
- Has experienced consistent growth of 6-8% annually over the past five years.
- Recognized nationally or internationally through active participation in academic and professional societies.
- A strong commitment to providing excellent patient care while mentoring the next generation of leaders in plastic surgery, alongside a history of contributing to the field through innovative research and scholarly work.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in administrative roles within a medical school or academic medical center.
- A successful track record in talent recruitment, retention, and mentorship.
