Urologist Opportunity

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

The Department of Surgery within our organization is currently seeking a Urologist to join our team. This department supports Valleywise Health, a community hospital recognized as a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center by both the State and the American College of Surgeons, located in the metropolitan area of Phoenix. Our facility is equipped with advanced technology, including endoscopic tools, a urodynamic lab, and the da Vinci surgical robotic system.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a faculty member for our graduate medical education programs.
• Contribute to the development of the clinical service line.
• Provide both inpatient and outpatient general urology services in elective and emergency settings.
• Participate in shared call coverage and collaborate effectively within a team for patient management.
• Engage in collaborative research initiatives.
• Play a pivotal role in expanding and enhancing our robotics program for urology patients.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited urology residency program.
• Board certified and/or board eligible status.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted Arizona Medical license; J1 Visa applicants will be considered.
• Preference for candidates with fellowship training or significant experience in robotic-assisted surgery.

Our organization operates as a not-for-profit faculty practice plan, comprised of over 400 providers across various medical and surgical specialties. Our physicians hold faculty positions and engage in inter-professional education through the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance, which includes a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency. Notably, we host the only ACGME accredited Surgical Critical Care residency in Phoenix and are among 13 hospitals nationwide accredited by the American College of Surgeons for Adult & Pediatric Trauma and Burns.
