Location: BH Medical Group Physician Practices

Status: Full-Time, 80 Hours

Shift: Daytime

General Overview:

The physician will deliver direct patient care in alignment with established protocols, practices, and standardized care guidelines.

In addition to the outlined responsibilities, candidates must fulfill the minimum criteria for medical staff privileges.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough physical examinations and document findings accurately and promptly.
2. Utilize and interpret relevant diagnostic tests (such as laboratory tests and imaging procedures pertinent to their specialty) and provide necessary referrals or consultations.
3. Educate and counsel patients to promote wellness, consistently addressing health risk behaviors and providing resources.
4. Offer agreed-upon coverage for patient care in suitable settings (e.g., outpatient office and/or hospital) during business hours and evenings/weekends, as mutually arranged and in accordance with medical staff bylaws.
5. Maintain and demonstrate the clinical, technical, and surgical skills for which they are credentialed.
6. Prescribe medications appropriately, considering the patient's age, medical conditions, allergies, drug interactions, and duration of therapy, ensuring quality care in dispensing both narcotic and non-narcotic medications.
7. Keep an updated Delaware medical license, CSR license, and DEA license, including fulfilling continuing medical education (CME) requirements and maintaining appropriate Board certification.
8. Perform any additional duties as assigned within the scope of job responsibilities.

Required Education, Credentials, and Experience:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine; Completion of Residency. Board Certified/Board Eligible as per our medical staff bylaws.

  • Credentials: Physician - CSR (if required by job duties); Physician MD DEA (if required by job duties); or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) licensure. Must meet credentialing standards set by our Medical Staff Services department.

  • Experience: Relevant experience in the field.
