Exciting Chief of Radiology Position Available in Prescott, Arizona!
Join us in our noble mission to support Veterans in achieving their best health! We are currently seeking a Chief of Radiology to join our team in the beautiful city of Prescott, Arizona. Our organization caters to the healthcare needs of over 34,000 Veterans across more than 65,000 square miles in Northern Arizona. Since the inclusion of VA hospitals in the annual national review by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in 2023, we have proudly maintained a 5-star rating. Our medical facility features an 85-bed community living center, a 15-bed acute care unit, and a 120-bed domiciliary as part of our Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary: Competitive pay along with an annual performance bonus and regular salary increments.
Sign-On Bonus: For exceptionally qualified candidates, we offer a recruitment bonus of up to 25% of the salary.
Paid Time Off: Enjoy 50-55 days of paid time off annually, which includes 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potentially 5 days for Continuing Medical Education (CME).
Retirement: Benefit from a traditional federal pension (with a 5-year vesting period) and a federal 401k plan with contributions of up to 5% from the organization.
Insurance: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance options (many of which can be carried into retirement).
CME: Eligible for reimbursement of up to $2,500 per year.*
Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): This position qualifies for a student loan repayment program offering up to $200,000.**

Contract: No Physician Employment Contract is required, and there are minimal restrictions on moonlighting.
*Board certification is required to qualify for the 5 days off for CME.
**The EDRP is available for this role, allowing for student loan reimbursement. Eligibility requirements must be met according to VHA policy, and applications should be submitted within four months of starting. Approval, award amounts (up to $200,000), and eligibility periods (one to five years) will be determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a thorough review of the application. Previous participants are not eligible to apply for this incentive.
Employment Requirements- Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited medical or osteopathic program.
- Possession of one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory, with the requirement to maintain an active status.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory; non-citizens may only be appointed if qualified citizens cannot be recruited, in accordance with VA policy.
