Every individual here contributes significantly to creating a comprehensive healthcare experience that is accessible, empowering, and fundamentally human.

The CardioVascular Center (CVC) at our medical facility is on the lookout for a Noninvasive Cardiologist with expertise in advanced cardiac imaging techniques (including cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and echocardiography) and a keen interest in general cardiology. While complementary subspecialty interests such as Nuclear Cardiology or Prevention are appreciated, they are not mandatory.

Overview of the Cardiology Division:

Integrated Healthcare: Our medical center serves as the academic cornerstone of our healthcare system.

Team-Oriented Environment: The CVC consists of a vibrant team of physicians dedicated to expanding clinical programs in Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, and Vascular Surgery.

Research-Driven: Our cardiology research significantly influences patient care and outcomes. The division is actively involved in the Cardiovascular Center for Research and Innovation, as well as the Molecular Cardiology Research Institute. Our cardiovascular research initiatives are well-funded, receiving $63 million to support both clinical and basic research efforts.

Educational Commitment: Our faculty members are full-time academic staff at a prestigious medical school. The Imaging Faculty plays an active role in teaching and mentoring across various departments, including Radiology residents, Cardiology fellows, and the Advanced Cardiac Imaging fellow, reflecting our integrated approach to imaging.

National Recognition: Our team is among the leaders in advancing cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment in the nation. With one of the largest heart transplant programs in the country, we achieved a remarkable 70 transplants in 2024. The CVC provides specialized programs in structural interventions, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, rare cardiomyopathies, cardiac sarcoidosis, and adult congenital heart disease, fostering a high-complexity and academically rigorous clinical setting.

Boston: A Global Innovation Hub: Situated in the heart of Boston—one of the premier centers for medicine, biotechnology, and higher education—our medical center offers a dynamic academic atmosphere. The city's rich history, innovative ecosystem, and strong academic tradition create an exceptional environment for professional development and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

The Cardiologist will collaborate with the Division of Cardiology and the CardioVascular Center located in downtown Boston.

  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with specialists in Advanced Heart Failure, Structural and Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, and Radiology within a dynamic, academically collaborative imaging program. The faculty member will contribute to imaging protocols, engage in multidisciplinary conferences, and provide education to a diverse group of learners.

  • Access to Cutting-Edge Technology: Utilize the latest imaging technologies, hybrid operating rooms, and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic innovations.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position.

Qualifications:
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases.

  • Completion of Level III training in cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and echocardiography (current or anticipated board certification is preferred).

  • Experience with multimodality imaging, including cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, transesophageal echocardiography, and stress echocardiography (nuclear cardiology experience is a plus).

  • Familiarity with imaging support for structural interventions is beneficial but not essential.

  • A strong interest in general clinical cardiology, outpatient practice, and inpatient attending service is expected.

  • A passion for academics and teaching experience are highly desirable, with ample opportunities for educational involvement.
