Our organization, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is in search of a full-time Director of Geriatrics to join our team in Lakewood, NJ.

This role encompasses both inpatient and outpatient duties, allowing the selected candidate to work within one of the few state-of-the-art and fully accredited Geriatric Emergency Medicine (GEM) units in the state, dedicated to the care of elderly patients. You will be part of a vibrant team of seasoned professionals supported by a capable staff, including a scheduler and a CCT technician.

As the Director of Geriatrics, you will oversee the geriatric teams located at both Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) and Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (MMCSC). This position provides motivated physicians with the opportunity to advance into administrative roles.

Position Requirements:
  • Must be board-certified in Internal Medicine or Geriatrics.

  • All applicants should be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.

  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and service is essential.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is between $345,000 and $425,000 annually. The final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's educational qualifications, skills, and professional experience.

About Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus:

Located in Lakewood, Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (MMCSC) is a fully accredited acute care hospital committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to the community. As part of our organization, MMCSC is a sister facility to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch and collaborates with the Rutgers Cancer Institute, New Jersey's only NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, to offer the latest and most effective treatments to our patients.

MMCSC is also expanding its surgical services with the introduction of a Minimally Invasive Surgical program.

The Jacqueline M. Wilentz Breast Center at MMCSC provides a wide range of services, including 3D screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, MRI, stereotactic breast biopsy, surgical consultations, and genetic counseling. Our Outpatient Rehabilitation services cover areas such as Oncology, Cardiac, Pulmonary, and Physical and Occupational Therapy, all aimed at helping patients return to their most valued activities.
