Adult Inpatient Palliative Care Physician
Job Description
Our organization, in collaboration with a prominent cancer institute, is on the lookout for a dedicated Adult Inpatient Palliative Care Physician to enhance our expanding program.
This role primarily involves delivering comprehensive inpatient palliative care services at our main hospital and associated cancer center. The physician will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assist patients and their families who are dealing with serious health challenges. As part of a leading teaching hospital affiliated with a well-respected medical school, which hosts an ACGME-accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program, the physician will also engage in educational activities. Responsibilities include instructing fellows, medical students, residents, and other healthcare providers across the campus.
There are exceptional opportunities for collaboration between clinical and research initiatives, including clinical trials, cancer chemoprevention, pharmacology studies, Phase 1 clinical trials, and a variety of other collaborative research projects beyond cancer and palliative care.
Qualifications:
- MD (or equivalent) required
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Fellowship training is preferred
- Opportunity for a volunteer University appointment upon hiring
Compensation:
The expected salary range for this position is between $285,000 and $330,000 annually. The final compensation will be influenced by various factors, including the candidate's educational qualifications, skills, and professional experience.

The cancer institute, recognized as the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the state, collaborates with our organization, the largest integrated healthcare system in the region, to deliver advanced, patient-focused oncology services. This partnership provides patients with access to innovative diagnostics and treatments, including clinical trials, immunotherapy, precision medicine, CAR T-cell therapy, proton therapy, and cardio-oncology services.
