Phoenix Children's
Suncrest Villas West, AZ, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description

Embark on a fulfilling career by channeling your enthusiasm, commitment, and passion at our organization—where every position significantly impacts the lives of children and their families. Recognized as one of the leading pediatric healthcare systems in the nation, we provide over 75 subspecialty areas and eight centers of excellence. Honored as a Best Children's Hospital by U.S. News & World Report, we facilitate the advanced treatments necessary for delivering outstanding care. Motivated by the vibrant growth of our metropolitan area, we invite you to join us in making a substantial difference together.

Our organization’s Division of Nephrology is in search of a full-time Pediatric Nephrologist to become part of our dynamic and expanding team.

The Nephrology Division is ranked #39 by U.S. News and World Report and boasts the largest pediatric nephrology program in the Southwest. Our team consists of 11 board-certified nephrologists and a nurse practitioner, providing care across six satellite locations in the Valley, as well as in Flagstaff and Yuma. Our physicians are actively involved in multidisciplinary clinics throughout the hospital, including those focused on Spina Bifida, Fontan procedures, Stone Clinic, Long-Term Follow-up from BMT, Lupus Clinic, and more.

We play a vital role in inpatient care, supporting 484 inpatient beds, which include 153 intensive care beds (PICU, CVICU, NICU). Our facility is home to Arizona's only dedicated pediatric dialysis center, offering both outpatient and inpatient hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis to around 40 prevalent patients, along with a comprehensive Continuous Kidney Replacement Therapy (CKRT) program. Additionally, we proudly operate the state’s sole dedicated Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program.

Beyond patient care, our organization is dedicated to education and innovation. Our physicians hold academic positions at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, Mayo Medical School, and Creighton Medical School, and are actively involved in both clinical and translational research.

We are excited to announce the initiation of our Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship program. This fellowship will provide a distinctive opportunity for physicians to enhance their clinical and research skills in pediatric nephrology, equipping them to become leaders in the field. As part of our division, you will have the chance to mentor and influence the next generation of pediatric nephrologists.

The staff physician will deliver patient care services and support our mission of providing hope, healing, and exceptional healthcare for children and their families.
