Overview of the Gynecologist Position:

In your role as a Gynecologist at the Sacramento VA, you will offer comprehensive gynecological services to women veterans in both outpatient and inpatient environments. Your responsibilities will encompass preventive care, diagnosis, and the management of a wide array of gynecological conditions and procedures. You will work closely with primary care and specialty teams to ensure coordinated, patient-focused care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient gynecological consultations, assessments, and follow-up care.

  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including office-based gynecological interventions and minor surgeries.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care, surgical specialties, and mental health professionals.

  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, committees, and projects aimed at enhancing the Women's Health Program.

  • Guide and educate trainees and staff as needed.

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with VA regulations.

  • Contribute to the development of protocols and standards for gynecological services.
