Job Description
We are excited to invite you to become a part of our dynamic team as an Occupational Therapist in a PRN capacity! This role involves providing essential therapy services in the comfort of clients' homes.
Compensation and Schedule- Pay: $48.95 - $53.87 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: PRN, with travel required to clients' residences.
- Deliver ongoing therapy services to clients in accordance with physician orders.
- Conduct evaluations and treatment plans for clients, ensuring effective communication with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services while adhering to State and Federal regulations.
- Participate in agency meetings and provide training for staff on a regular basis.
- Graduation from an Occupational Therapy program accredited by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association, or eligibility for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Must hold a valid license or registration as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
- A minimum of one year of experience in the field is required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to Occupational Therapy for effective communication with clients, staff, and physicians.
- Coordination and dexterity to handle tools and materials while instructing clients.
- Physical strength and endurance to meet the demands of the role.
- Proficiency in using computers and electronic devices for documentation and timekeeping.
- Evaluate clients and provide Occupational Therapy based on written orders from attending physicians.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy assistants and rehabilitation aides in client care activities.
- Plan, implement, coordinate, and assess the Occupational Therapy services provided by the department.
- Communicate client progress to attending physicians and consult on any changes in condition.
- Participate in care planning conferences to ensure coordinated client care.
- Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services and other team members regarding client progress and care plans.
- Initiate and lead in-service training programs for the Occupational Therapy department.
- Work with the Director of Clinical Services to develop and implement departmental objectives aligned with organizational goals.
- Attend required in-services and complete assigned online training modules.
- Ensure continuous provision of Occupational Therapy services, including finding temporary personnel when needed.
- Engage in infection prevention, control, and safety programs within the department.
- Comply with the Occupational Therapy Practice Act in the state.
