Overview Our organization, in collaboration with a prestigious medical school, is on the lookout for a Chair of Dermatology. The ideal candidate will be an esteemed academic physician with a proven track record in clinical practice, education, and leadership, equipped to guide a department within a prominent quaternary medical facility.
Position Details The Chair will report directly to the Dean of the Medical School and will be responsible for overseeing all academic initiatives, including faculty appointments and promotions. This position underscores the significance of the Dermatology Department within our institution. The incoming Chair will uphold a legacy of clinical excellence, innovation, and education, while also contributing to clinical research and expanding the clinical trials program.
Main Responsibilities The Chair is expected to be a motivating leader dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in the dermatology training program and facilitating access for referring physicians. They will spearhead the academic mission and work collaboratively with affiliated teaching hospitals.
Preferred Qualifications
Holding the rank of Professor or an equivalent position, with a strong academic background that includes research and clinical trials.
Demonstrated management experience, such as serving as a Program or Division Director.
Proven ability to enhance clinical effectiveness and improve patient experiences.
Engaging communicator with the ability to influence across various interdependencies.
Experience in faculty recruitment and program development.
