Our organization, a leading academic medical center focused on patient-centered care, is recognized nationally for its excellence in clinical services, biomedical research, and medical education.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is on the lookout for a full-time Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) subspecialist with a strong background in fetal therapy to join our vibrant faculty at our Manhattan locations. Following the success of our Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Program, we have welcomed a distinguished fetal surgeon and expanded our offerings into the Advanced Fetal Care Center (AFCC). This role presents a remarkable opportunity for a physician leader in MFM to significantly contribute to the ongoing development of our comprehensive fetal surgery program, bringing these vital services to New York City.

The selected candidate will be appointed within the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and will serve as Co-Director of the AFCC, collaborating with a diverse team of specialists in pediatric surgery, cardiology, neonatology, radiology, and genetics. The role will encompass approximately 50% clinical care in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and 50% focused on fetal therapy and program development, with an anticipated increase in the fetal therapy component as interventional procedures, research capabilities, and training programs expand.

As Co-Director of the AFCC, the individual will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to:

  • Lead and enhance the clinical and procedural offerings of fetal therapy services, ensuring comprehensive care for patients facing complex fetal diagnoses.

  • Develop and optimize clinical pathways and best practices for fetal interventions, multidisciplinary coordination, and perinatal management.

  • Initiate outreach and program development efforts to broaden the AFCC's regional referral network and strengthen interdisciplinary collaborations.

  • Participate in clinical and translational research, quality improvement initiatives, and outcomes assessment to further the field of fetal therapy.

  • Lead educational programs for fellows, residents, and students in the areas of fetal therapy and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

  • Provide comprehensive Maternal-Fetal Medicine care, including ultrasound services, outpatient consultations, and inpatient care, integrated within the larger MFM division.

This position is an outstanding opportunity for an MFM physician aiming for an academic career that merges clinical excellence, innovation, and leadership within a rapidly evolving subspecialty program.

Qualifications:
  • MD or equivalent degree, with board certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.

  • Completion of a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, with additional experience in fetal therapy or intervention.

  • A proven dedication to academic medicine, collaborative practice, and clinical program development.

Our organization is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering inclusion in all aspects of recruitment and employment. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply.

Salary:

The salary for this position ranges from $650,000 to $700,000. This range pertains to full-time employment and does not include potential incentive compensation or benefits. The role offers generous paid vacation, retirement plans, and healthcare benefits.
