Loma Linda, CA, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description
Join Our Team as an Interventional Radiologist

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Eligible or Board Certified Interventional Radiologist to become a part of our dedicated team within the Department of Radiology.

About the Division

The Interventional Radiology Division operates under the Department of Radiology, offering a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for various clinical conditions across all age groups. This dynamic practice collaborates closely with vascular surgery to address vascular diseases through a full spectrum of interventional radiology services.

Currently, our division is comprised of nine board-certified interventional radiologists and provides care across six hospitals, which include two Level 1 trauma centers, a specialized pediatric hospital, a vibrant community hospital, a surgical center for both outpatient and short-term inpatient procedures, and East Campus for extended admissions. Our main facility, a state-of-the-art hospital that opened in 2021, is recognized as the top hospital in the Inland Empire. Nestled in the scenic foothills of Loma Linda, California, our division serves as a tertiary referral center for surrounding hospitals, managing some of the most complex patient cases.

Educational Opportunities

As part of our academic practice, we are committed to educating the next generation of medical professionals. We train ten Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology residents annually, along with numerous medical students seeking clinical and sub-internship experiences, as well as pre-clinical and pre-medical students interested in mentorship and shadowing opportunities. Our institution has a rich history of producing exceptional interventional radiologists through its fellowship program and integrated residency options.

Daily Operations

Our interventional radiology practice is entirely clinical, requiring formal consultations for all inpatient procedures and triaging outpatient requests for either in-person or virtual clinic evaluations before scheduling any procedures. Each day commences with a morning conference at 7:45 AM, where residents present the day's scheduled procedures, discussing indications and approaches with the attending physicians. Typical procedural hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call faculty remaining to complete any outstanding procedures. Call is taken on a daily basis, currently every eighth night and weekend. Faculty members generally receive one academic day off each week. Our salary structure is competitive within the academic sector of the region, with some internal moonlighting opportunities available.
