NEUROLOGIST

CONNECTICUT HEALTHCARE SYSTEM

NEWINGTON, CT

Our organization is seeking a full-time General Neurologist to become a part of our vibrant neurology team. The ideal applicant should be adept at handling a wide variety of general neurology cases and possess clinical experience, particularly in movement disorders. While proficiency in performing electromyography (EMGs) and administering botulinum toxin (Botox) injections is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Neurologist include:

  • Deliver comprehensive neurology services within the VA system, utilizing clinical privileges in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

  • Engage in inpatient on-call duties alongside section physicians on a rotational basis.

  • Experience in general neurology, providing care to both outpatient and inpatient populations, with a focus on movement disorder patients is preferred. Proficiency in EMG studies and Botox administration is advantageous but not essential. Board certification is preferred, although board eligibility in neurology will be considered.

Position Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • A current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any state
  • Completion of a full Neurology Residency program
  • Board certification is preferred; however, board eligibility in neurology will be accepted.
