OB/GYN Associate Medical Director - Stamford, CT
Job Description
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our organization is in search of a full-time, board-certified OB/GYN Associate Medical Director to oversee our midwifery-integrated OB/GYN practice, "Oula provided by Stamford Health." This role offers a chance to lead a collaborative team of certified nurse midwives within a framework that emphasizes partnership, respect, and innovation. Here’s your chance to blend hands-on clinical responsibilities with impactful leadership—mentoring midwives, promoting best practices, and advocating for a patient-centered approach that empowers women and families. Our location is conveniently situated less than an hour from NYC and LaGuardia International Airport.
Key Highlights:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
2.5 days at Stamford Hospital and 2 days at our newly established outpatient office in Norwalk
NO CALL DUTIES. NO WEEKENDS. Calls are managed by midwives and hospitalists
Conduct scheduled procedures
Instruct residents. Our organization is one of the largest teaching affiliates of Columbia University Irving Medical Center, featuring standalone residency training programs in OB/GYN, Family Medicine, General Surgery, and Internal Medicine
Qualifications:
Board-certified in OB/GYN
Minimum of 2 years of attending experience
Exceptional leadership and teamwork abilities
Experience with midwifery models is essential
