Job Opportunity: Registered Occupational Therapist

Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated Registered Occupational Therapist to become a vital part of our Healthcare & Medical Services team. This role focuses on delivering compassionate, evidence-based rehabilitation to seniors within a patient-centered and family-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess residents’ functional capabilities and create tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement skilled occupational therapy interventions aimed at enhancing independence, safety, and overall quality of life.
  • Provide therapy that emphasizes daily living activities, mobility, cognitive and perceptual skills, and the use of adaptive equipment, while considering each resident’s personal goals and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff, physical and speech therapists, physicians, social services, and families to ensure seamless care and effective discharge planning.
  • Maintain timely and precise documentation in the electronic health record system.
  • Monitor progress towards measurable goals and modify treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient feedback.
  • Educate residents and their caregivers on home safety, fall prevention, energy conservation, and strategies to support functional independence beyond the care environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Valid Registered Occupational Therapist license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
