The staff psychiatrist will be integrated into the VA San Francisco Health Care System (VASFHCS), specifically within the Mental Health Service. This role involves delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality healthcare to all patients while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide clinical services at VASFHCS. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will act as an attending psychiatrist for the SFVA Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP), offering extensive outpatient care in the clinic, mentoring UCSF trainees, and serving as backup faculty for on-call residents at SFVA. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team addressing a variety of psychiatric conditions, including Major Depression, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders, Schizophrenia, Psychotic Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders. Responsibilities include adhering to VA directives, supervising and mentoring UCSF trainees, and providing oversight for on-call UCSF residents at SFVA.

Expected Salary Range: Between $300K - $315K (negotiable based on qualifications, credentials, and experience)
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Employment Type: Full-time, with schedule determined by supervisor
Compensation: Competitive salary, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days annually (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potentially 5 days for CME)

Licensure Requirement: One full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory

Contractual Terms: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting
