Position Highlights:

Leadership & Impact:
- Act as Section Chief & Clinic Director for the Mental Health Primary Care section.
- Supervise and mentor a team of seven interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and empathy.
- Oversee four specialized PACT teams (three SMI-PACT and one H-PACT), promoting integrated primary care for Veterans with concurrent mental health conditions.

Clinical Excellence:
- Deliver high-quality outpatient primary care in an innovative, co-located mental health environment.
- Provide guidance and consultation to colleagues in both primary care and behavioral health, establishing yourself as a recognized leader and resource within the organization.

- Influence program development, engage in teaching and mentorship, and contribute to system-wide best practices.

Work-Life Balance:
- Enjoy a consistent daytime schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, promoting well-being both in and out of the workplace.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Board-certified or eligible in Family or Internal Medicine
- Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
- Proven experience in physician leadership
- Strong commitment to Veteran-centered, team-oriented care
- Genuine passion for assisting individuals experiencing mental illness and/or homelessness
- Exceptional interpersonal and teaching abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in mental health and a keen interest in advancing integrated care.
Outstanding Benefits Offered:
- Competitive Compensation: $265,000-$290,000 annually, along with an annual bonus and regular salary increments.
- Recruitment/Relocation Incentive: Approved sign-on bonus and participation in the Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment Program).
- Generous Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year, including 26 vacation days, 13 sick days, 11 federal holidays, and up to 5 days for CME leave.
- Comprehensive Federal Benefits: Retirement pension (5 years vesting) plus 401k (with up to 5% contribution from the organization), health, vision, dental, life, and long-term care insurance (many benefits extend into retirement).
- Professional Support: $1,000 per year for CME reimbursement, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, and no restrictive employment contract. Minimal limitations on moonlighting.
