Chief Medical Officer | Behavioral Health | Michigan

In collaboration with a prominent behavioral and integrated health organization in Michigan, we are on the lookout for a skilled Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead our medical initiatives.

This is a significant opportunity for a seasoned psychiatrist and medical leader to influence clinical strategies, enhance system-wide care delivery, and maintain an active role in patient care within a mission-focused organization that addresses diverse community needs.

As the Chief Medical Officer, you will function as the Medical Director and serve as the main medical consultant to the Chief Executive Officer on various topics, including:

• Medical and psychiatric policies
• Clinical treatment strategies
• Quality assurance, safety, and care standards

The CMO will work closely with the Chief of Staff and the Senior Executive of Integrated Health Services to create, execute, and continuously improve a strategic business plan for psychiatric and integrated healthcare services. Approximately 30% of this position will involve direct patient care, while the remaining focus will be on leadership, oversight, and initiatives aimed at system-level enhancements.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• MD or DO with a minimum of five years of experience in psychiatry
• At least three years of leadership or managerial experience in a behavioral health environment is preferred
• Outstanding communication abilities with staff, providers, community partners, individuals served, and their support networks
• Proven capability to lead through influence, foster collaborative relationships, and implement change within complex organizations
• Valid Michigan Medical License
• Current Board Certification
• Active DEA and Controlled Substance certifications
