Our organization is on the lookout for full-time academic faculty members at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level to enhance our Division of Urology. This division offers a wide range of urological services, encompassing reconstructive urology, men's health, oncology, and endourology. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional clinical abilities, foster teamwork in multidisciplinary patient care, and show a strong dedication to the education of medical students and residents as part of our integrated urology residency program. Applicants must possess an MD or DO degree and be board certified or board eligible in urology. While an active interest in clinical or translational research is welcomed, it is not mandatory. The successful applicant will receive an appointment to the medical faculty at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. The final rank and salary will be aligned with the candidate's qualifications and experience.

We serve as the primary public hospital teaching site for the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Recognized nationally as an academic and tertiary referral medical center, we are an American College of Surgeons-verified Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma center, featuring busy advanced robotic and endoscopic surgery practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive urological care for adult patients, focusing on the diagnosis and management of disorders related to the urinary tract and male reproductive system.

  • Conduct a wide array of urological procedures, including:

    • Endoscopic procedures such as cystoscopy and ureteroscopy.

    • Stone management techniques including laser lithotripsy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy.

    • Prostate interventions like TURP and MIST therapies.

    • Basic oncology surgeries, including TURBT, prostate biopsy, and surgical management of bladder, kidney, and prostate cancers.

    • Minimally invasive and laparoscopic techniques, with opportunities for robotic surgery (DaVinci XI and SP robots available); experience in robotic surgery is preferred.

  • Engage in inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic activities.

  • Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in both clinical and surgical environments.

  • Participate in scholarly activities, including clinical research and publication efforts.

  • Contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at quality improvement and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology.

  • Eligible for medical licensure in Ohio.

  • Proven commitment to academic medicine, education, and research.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
