Position Summary
As a Cardiologist at the Clarksburg VA, you will deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care in both inpatient and outpatient environments, supported by a collaborative and highly skilled team.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
General cardiology clinical duties: inpatient consultations, outpatient consultations, and clinic responsibilities.

Conduct and interpret:
Echocardiograms
Exercise & pharmacologic stress tests
Holter monitoring & ECGs
Diagnose and manage arrhythmias and complex cardiac disorders.
Engage in patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation within the electronic health record.
Participate in peer reviews, committees, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain high standards in clinical care, leadership, and communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Board Certified
Experience with the VA system is advantageous
Expertise in advanced cardiac imaging and TEE/TTE is highly desirable
Core Clinical Privileges Include:
Comprehensive cardiac evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
Interpretation of ECGs and ambulatory monitoring.
Cardioversion and stress echocardiography.
Hemodynamic monitoring and catheter management.
Temporary pacemaker placement.
Central line and arterial access procedures.
Management of ICU-level cardiac care.

Work Schedule & Requirements
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM - or a 4-day work week (Quality of Life benefits).
On-call: Required.
