In the role of Cardiologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who require specialized cardiac care. You will be part of a collaborative team model, working alongside primary care and specialty providers, as well as community specialists and skilled nursing facilities, to deliver high-quality, evidence-based medical care to a diverse and expanding patient population.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical assessments for patients with specialized cardiac conditions.

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive care plans, including prescribing medications, recommending exercises, and ordering diagnostic tests such as echocardiography, stress tests, vascular ultrasound imaging, nuclear imaging, and cardiac device evaluations.

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to manage patient care effectively, ensuring continuity through communication with external health and social service agencies.

  • Act as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists, consulting on patient care issues.

  • Educate and counsel individuals and groups regarding specific healthcare needs, serving as a specialist in your field.

  • Contribute to the creation of health education programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology.

  • Possession of current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or the ability to obtain it post-hire, in accordance with state regulations.

  • Current active Massachusetts DPH Controlled Substances Registration or the ability to obtain it post-hire, in accordance with state regulations.

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on specialty.
