Position Overview
Announcement: Our organization is in search of a skilled, enthusiastic, and empathetic Pediatric Physiatrist/Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine physician to become a part of the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). This division, a vital component of our institution, consists of a team of fellowship-trained pediatric PM&R specialists and nurse practitioners dedicated to delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary care, enabling children to reach their highest level of independence.
The ideal candidates will possess extensive clinical knowledge and a keen interest in program development, particularly in expanding both inpatient and outpatient services as our organization continues to enhance its offerings.
Clinical responsibilities will encompass the inpatient rehabilitation unit, the inpatient PM&R consult service, outpatient physiatry clinic, and various multidisciplinary clinics. The division is actively engaged in managing injection therapies for spasticity and dystonia across multiple settings, as well as participating in multidisciplinary surgical management, including SDR/ITB/DBS. There are also opportunities for clinical growth in EMG/NCV. Educational involvement includes participation in the Honor Health PM&R residency program in Phoenix, along with training programs in pediatrics, neurology, and palliative care.

Position Responsibilities-
Patient Care Services
- Deliver patient care services for which the physician is clinically privileged, including but not limited to:
- Direct patient care on both inpatient and outpatient levels.
- Subspecialty consultations and follow-up care.
- Diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures.
- Urgent/emergent care as required.
- Strive for optimal patient and family-centered care.
- Support the hospital's patient satisfaction objectives and division-specific targets.
- Adhere to divisional standards for patient safety and quality of care.
- Practice contemporary evidence-based medicine.
- Deliver patient care services for which the physician is clinically privileged, including but not limited to:

Divisional Responsibilities
- Set and work towards achieving annual goals and objectives for the physician, division, and hospital.
- Contribute to the medical education programs of the division, including:
- Supervising trainees and allied health professionals in delivering inpatient and outpatient services.
- Conducting teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences for trainees.
- Participating in the education and supervision of assigned trainees and allied health professionals.
- Engaging in postgraduate continuing education activities.
- Support the division's research initiatives and those of other members.
- Encourage the growth of division programs.
- Assist with satellite efforts of the division as appropriate.
