Job Description
Our organization is in search of a dedicated full-time Anesthesiologist to provide exceptional care to our Veteran patients. The selected candidate may be required to deliver services in a variety of environments, including the operating room, endoscopy suite, invasive radiology, CT and MRI facilities, catheterization lab, and the emergency department.
The Anesthesiologist will be tasked with a range of duties, which include, but are not limited to, the following:
Overseeing all facets of medical care and assisting residents and/or mid-level practitioners in evaluating and treating surgical and endoscopy patients requiring anesthesia.
Conducting patient evaluations to monitor any changes in physical and mental health, documenting progress notes in the patient's medical record. These notes should also reflect agreement with any documentation provided by residents and mid-level practitioners, as applicable.
Collaborating with healthcare providers both within and outside of their service line, as well as with other VHA facilities or community healthcare providers, as dictated by the veteran's care plan.
Working to eliminate obstacles for Veterans and staff to create a supportive work atmosphere, while nurturing positive relationships with colleagues, staff, and Veterans.
Participating in shared on-call duties with fellow anesthesiologists.
