Our organization is looking to expand its ophthalmology team by hiring a full-time Glaucoma Specialist for the role of Clinical Assistant Professor, which is a non-tenure position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert medical and surgical care for glaucoma patients while also engaging in comprehensive ophthalmic services. This role offers a chance to work in a collaborative, patient-focused setting equipped with cutting-edge technology and a diverse patient demographic. Key duties include delivering exceptional patient care, teaching, and, if desired, participating in clinical research within a varied academic eye practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of glaucoma conditions.
Conduct glaucoma surgeries, including MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery), trabeculectomy, tube shunts, and various laser procedures (such as SLT and YAG).
Provide both routine and advanced anterior segment care, including cataract surgery when appropriate.
Work collaboratively with optometrists and other ophthalmic specialists to ensure integrated patient care.
Keep accurate, timely, and comprehensive medical records.
Inform patients and their families about glaucoma, available treatment options, and preventive measures.
Engage in the education of ophthalmology residents and medical students.
Participate in clinical research if desired.

Expected Salary:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and includes an excellent benefits package.
Required Qualifications:
M.D. (or equivalent) or D.O. degree from an accredited medical institution.
Completed residency in Ophthalmology.
Fellowship training in Glaucoma.
Board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology in the U.S.
Eligible for medical licensure in Florida.
