Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Job Description
Our organization, in collaboration with a prominent healthcare facility in New York City, is looking for two part-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons to enhance our growing team. We are particularly focused on expanding our orthognathic practice and introducing new services in bone regeneration and implantology. The healthcare center is a 545-bed tertiary care institution and an ACS-verified level 1 trauma center located in the culturally rich borough of Queens, NY.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care, including orthognathic, bone regeneration, and implantology procedures.
- Supervise and mentor residents and students in the clinic, fostering a collaborative and positive learning atmosphere.
- Utilize operating room privileges to perform complex surgical procedures.
- Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Engage in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to provide cohesive patient care.
- Support community service events and promote the mission of the healthcare facility.
- Must possess a DDS or DMD degree.
- Board eligible or board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number required.
- Strong clinical skills, teaching experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
- Demonstrated experience in orthognathic surgery, bone regeneration, and implantology is preferred.
There is potential for a faculty appointment with our organization, based on credentials, experience, and qualifications. The compensation package ranges from $124,800 to $187,200, not including on-call coverage and faculty practice distributions awarded throughout the academic year.
