Physician Scientist, Assist/Assoc/Full Professor (T/TE), Department of Medicine (Multiple Positions)

Our organization is currently looking for skilled physician-scientists to join the Division of Endocrinology within the Department of Medicine. Positions are available at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, either on a tenure-track or tenured basis.

We invite applications from physician-scientists (MD, DO, or MD/PhD) who have an active research program in clinical, translational, or basic science. Research in any area related to endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism will be considered, with a particular interest in candidates specializing in islet biology, glucose metabolism, and obesity. Preference will be given to those whose research aligns with the existing faculty's interests within the division, department, or the broader research community at the University of Arizona. Successful candidates will also be expected to provide clinical care for adult patients with endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism issues, with the balance of research and clinical responsibilities determined by rank and available funding.

To be eligible, physician-scientists must be Board certified or eligible in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. The appointment rank will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
