The Psychiatry Department at our organization is on the lookout for a passionate and mission-oriented Addiction Psychiatrist to become part of our rapidly expanding academic team located at our main teaching hospital in downtown Boston. This is a fantastic chance to join a collaborative and growing Psychiatry Department that is dedicated to establishing a regional model of integrated behavioral health care throughout our network, which includes our flagship academic medical center and various community hospitals across Eastern Massachusetts.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver ambulatory addiction treatment.

  • Support the ongoing growth of our Ambulatory Addiction Psychiatry Services.

  • Provide consultation and long-term care for patients facing complex substance use and co-occurring psychiatric issues.

  • Work closely with other specialties in outpatient settings, including transplant services.

  • Engage in teaching, supervision, and curriculum development across various training programs.

  • Have the opportunity to participate in research and scholarly activities, particularly in addiction psychiatry, health systems innovation, and integrated care models.

Required Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.

  • Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Adult Psychiatry Residency.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry.

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • Fellowship training and/or Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine is highly preferred.
