Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to become a part of the Queens Cancer Center. This facility is recognized as a Center of Excellence and stands as the only advanced comprehensive cancer center in the borough of Queens, as well as the sole established cancer center within our health system. The ideal candidate will join a seasoned and collegial group of medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists, alongside a full range of oncology nurse practitioners, physician assistants, oncology pharmacists, nurses, nutritionists, and social workers. The Cancer Center offers integrated care across a wide spectrum of malignancies and caters to a diverse patient community.
Faculty members hold academic positions at a prestigious medical school, providing opportunities for both teaching and research.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care in medical oncology and hematology, encompassing evaluation, treatment planning, and follow-up.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based, patient-centered cancer care.
- Actively participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards and cancer committee meetings.
- Contribute to quality improvement and program development initiatives within the Cancer Center.
- Engage in teaching residents and medical students through affiliated training programs.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to clinical excellence, professional growth, and patient advocacy.
- MD or DO degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
- Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
- Eligible for or currently possessing an active New York State Medical License.
- Experience in an academic or community-based oncology program is preferred.
