The School of Dentistry at our institution is currently seeking applications for both full-time and part-time faculty roles within the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. We are looking for passionate, committed, and experienced Oral Surgeons to engage in both predoctoral and postdoctoral education. The selected candidate will play a vital role in clinical teaching, didactic instruction, curriculum development, as well as research and scholarly endeavors. A strong dedication to academic excellence, patient-centered care, and the promotion of oral health is crucial.
Key Responsibilities- Exhibit expertise in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Possess strong teaching and communication abilities, with experience in educational environments.
- Effectively collaborate with diverse student, faculty, and patient groups.
- Be knowledgeable about educational technologies and electronic health records.
- Have experience in curriculum design and support for academic programs.
- Contribute to the field through published research and scholarly work in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school in the U.S. or Canada.
- Experience in clinical teaching at either the predoctoral or postdoctoral level.
- Licensed to practice dentistry in Tennessee or eligible for licensure.
- Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from a CODA-accredited postgraduate program in the U.S. or Canada.
- Board Certification or eligibility from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
