Tasks and Activities:


Basics

Perform Accounts Payable in an electronics manufacturing operation located in Santa Clara, CA. Processes are defined and must comply with company’s integrated operating software.

Tasks

  • Monitor accounting inbox and capture incoming vendor invoices
  • Accurately enter invoices into NetSuite ERP
  • Reconcile AP Subledger to General Ledger

Work Activities

Interacting With Computers

  • use spreadsheet software
  • use computers to enter, access and retrieve financial data use accounting or bookkeeping software

Processing Information

  • compute financial data
  • verify bank or financial transactions compile data for financial reports
  • note discrepancies in financial records

Getting Information

  • obtain financial information from individuals

Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work

  • Ensure accurate data entry and provide information regarding payment priorities

Analyzing Data or Information

  • inform management of any discrepancies or issues so that corrective action may be taken
  • suggest alternatives and/or improvement as appropriate

Communicating with Supervisors, and Peers

  • Communicate with accounting staff, buyers and program managers as needed to ensure validity of payables and be aware of any special circumstances

Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge

  • use accounting terminology

Work Context

Physical Demands

The employee needs to occasionally stand; move around the office; sit for long periods; carry 25 pound of material; interface with computers virtually all day; use a mouse or similar device; move papers, files and other materials around desk.

Qualification

Education and Experience

Years of Experience 0-2 years

Education Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or Candidate

Degree or Formal Training Accounting or relatable field

ERP Software NetSuite (preferred)
