Summer Camp Counselor Supervisor @ Mad Science of DC

Be the backbone of our summer operations! We need a proactive, mobile leader to support our camp staff and ensure our high-energy science programs run flawlessly across Northern Virginia. If you thrive in the field and love operational leadership, let's talk!

The Essentials

• Dates: June 8th - August 21st, 2026
• Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
• Location: Northern Virginia field sites (Must live within ~10 miles of Vienna, VA) \
• Pay: $170 per day + mileage reimbursement

What Youll Do

• Field Leadership: Visit ~4 camp locations daily to mentor counselors and monitor program quality
• Logistics & Support: Deliver emergency supplies and gear so the science never stops
• Problem Solve: Act as the first responder for on-site issues, staff call-outs, or student behavior management
• Oversight: Provide daily performance reports back to the main administrative office

What You Need

• Leadership: 1 - 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity
• Youth Background: 1 - 2 years of experience working directly with children.
• Wheels: A reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license for daily field travel (Required)
• Clearance: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
