Position Summary

BDC Sales is responsible for building and retaining a loyal customer base.

Requirements:

Major Essential Duties

  • Involves heavy inbound/outbound sales calls in order to create sales appointments.
  • Determining each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions, reading the lead, and listening
  • Answering customer inquiries with a professional attitude and manner while adhering to measurable departmental goals
  • Processing quotes, answers to questions and transactions accurately.
  • Learning, understanding and adhering to call training and email scripts
  • Setting and confirming appointments, following up for each shown or missed appointment based on goals and objectives defined by the sales manager
  • Effectively utilizing and navigating internal resources to arrive at the right solution for the client e.g. computer systems, online resources, and business partner relationships.
  • Gathering information for customers and getting that information back to them in a timely manner.
  • Attending weekly sales meetings and trainings as set by sales management.
  • Meeting with the sales managers and director regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analysis.
  • Actively participating in Quality Improvement Process, via training offered, etc.
  • Following up with all clients that are connected to the internet department at the dealership for business development.
  • Demonstrating excellent call handling skills, patience and respect with complex and non-complex calls.
  • Disclosing terms of sales with consumers and reviewing sales with dealership management.
  • Establishing rapport with customers, making them feel unique and valued.
  • Defining a problem clearly and escalating concerns appropriately when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2-3 years customer service/call center experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Automotive or dealership experience a plus.
  • A proven history of inside sales and / or scheduling sales appointments preferred.
  • The ability to instantly build rapport with clients.
  • Must be a quick learner and be self-disciplined with a "never say die" attitude.
  • A professional demeanor and the ability to face rejection without losing momentum.
  • Superb customer service skills with the proven ability to resolve customer service issues.
  • The ability to meet or exceed all department Key Performance Indicators that measure overall performance.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and efficient typing and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational expertise and an attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and days, including some weekends.

$22.00 hour
