Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Tulsa, OK
Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 / Annually
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing construction team. This role will support day-to-day AP operations while working closely with vendors, contractors, and internal project teams.
Job Duties:
- Review, code, and process vendor and contractor invoices while ensuring proper approvals and supporting documentation are in place
- Monitor outstanding invoices and reconcile vendor statements to resolve discrepancies and aging items
- Maintain vendor compliance records including onboarding documents, insurance certificates, and tax documentation
- Assist with payment processing, vendor maintenance, accrual tracking, and invoice holds within the accounting system
- Upload and organize invoices and supporting documents while maintaining filing and recordkeeping standards
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding invoice questions, payment status, and account issues
- Provide support across the accounting team as needed to ensure timely processing and workflow continuity
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably within a project-driven or professional services environment
- Experience handling contractor, consultant, or service-related payables is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in Excel and accounting software systems
- Strong communication and follow-up skills with both vendors and internal departments
