Yard Truck Operator

Position Summary

This position reports directly to shipping and receiving supervisor. The primary responsibility is to safely operate the yard truck to move trailers and tankers as needed, while supporting shipping and receiving operations and maintaining compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Essential Job Duties

• Wear a safety vest at all times.
• Put shell truck into the shell house every day @ 6am
• Perform daily inspections of the yard truck for leaks or mechanical issues; report any concerns to a supervisor
• Put tankers in and out of the tanker bay as needed
• Move empty and loaded trailers to and from dock doors as needed
• Refuel reefer units with off-road diesel from storage tank of white truck as needed
• Assist Receiving with unloading eggs and loading materials
• Assist Shipping with liquid and frozen egg product handling
• Perform daily cleaning of dock areas and spaces under trailers

Schedule

• ( 6 am- 5:30 pm ) or based on operational needs

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb frequently
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Ability to safely operate a yard truck and related equipment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
