We are looking for a full-time Grant Manager position for the Biomedical Research Grant Programs, in the Division of Public Health Statistics and Performance Management. The selected candidate/contractor will provide these services to the Florida Department of Health (Department). The position reports On Site in Tallahassee, FL.
The Contractor must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
1. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; or 4 years of administrative experience in a related field.
2. A minimum of three years providing quality customer service.
3. A minimum of three years communicating with internal and external partners using a variety of tools and methods (verbal, written, presentation, etc.).
4. A minimum of three years administering and managing grants or contracts.
5. A minimum of three years with data entry, analysis, and reporting.
6. A minimum of three years using MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
7. Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week.
8. Must be organized with attention to detail, possess critical thinking and decision-making skills, and the ability to work independently.
The Contractor will perform the following duties as a Grant Manager in the time and manner specified:
Grant Administration & Oversight- Administer and monitor biomedical research grants.
- Conduct pre-award and post-award grant management activities.
- Perform grant reconciliation, closeout, and final reporting activities.
- Ensure effective execution of grants, including terms, conditions, and amendments.
- Develop and submit grant applications.
- Prepare deliverables, agreements, and grant amendments.
- Support Principal Investigators and Sponsored Research Officers throughout the grant lifecycle.
- Track grant budgets and expenditures.
- Submit invoices to ensure payment within required compliance timelines.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support reconciliations.
- Provide technical assistance to grant awardees and Department points of contact.
- Communicate and coordinate with grant recipients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Respond to internal and external grant-related inquiries in a timely manner.
- Facilitate ongoing communication and collaboration with partners.
- Maintain complete electronic grant files from execution through final closeout.
- Enter data into tracking logs to meet compliance and reporting requirements.
- Assist with preparation of reports, data analysis, and special projects for the Division of Public Health Statistic and Performance Management (DPHSPM).
