PURPOSE OF POSITION & REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible for ensuring all Accounts Payable invoices are coded correctly, input and paid in a timely manner while falling into the budget and expense guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities)
Education
- High school diploma/GED equivalent isrequiredfor this position.
- Proven educational development beyond high school in areas of accounting preferred.
Experience
- The person in this position shouldpossesstwo to three years’ experience in A/P.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- This personmustpossessahighlevelofwrittenandoralcommunicationskills.
- BasicskillsetutilizingcomputerprogramssuchasExcel, Word,andOutlookarerequired.
- Possessesexceptionalinterpersonalcommunicationskills,strongorganizationalskills,andtime-managementskills.
- Abilitytocommunicatewithalllevelswithintheorganizationandacrossfunctionalteams.
- Mustbeabletomulti-taskandproceedwithobjectivesunderlimitedornosupervision.
ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS
Responsibilities
- Receiveallaccounts payableinvoices.
- Matchinvoiceswithpurchaseordersforjobcosting.
- Flagandsenddiscrepanciesbetweenpurchaseordersandtheinvoicestothepurchasingdepartmentforreview.
- Inputmatchedinvoices,oneoffinvoicesandreoccurringinvoicesforpayment.
- Receiveandinput allexpensereports.
- Receiveandbalancemonthlystatements.
- Selectinvoicesforpaymentandissuechecksforsubcontractor,permitsandstandardinsurance/401k.
- Researchalloutstandingorproblematicinvoices.
- Responsibleformakingbankdeposits.
Relationships with Others
- Abilitytointeractprofessionallyandtactfullywithallmembersofstafftomanagedifficultsituationswithwillingnesstocommunicatetocorporateleaders.
- Exceptionalinterpersonalcommunicationskillswhendealingwithinternalandexternalpartners.
- Coordinatesconsistentlywithmanagementpersonnelinamannerwhichmaximizesoverallbusinesseffectiveness.
Physical Demands
- Worksinanoffice environmentandutilizestypicalofficetools.
- Lifts upto 10 pounds from the floor to waist level andableto carry such objects for at least 30 feet.
